She lives
Even though I didn't think I would make it, at times. I am still alive and well, getting better. Bronchitis is something I have dealt with on a somewhat regular basis for years, and this one seemed to really drag me down. I suppose I will have the cough for a while, and my voice is still very hoarse, but I am pretty sure I'll live.

Election Day
I am so proud to live in a nation where we are privileged to express our views and choose our leaders through free and fair elections. This will only continue as we accept the responsibility of freedom and continue to vote for those who will lead us well.

I hope you did. |

Wear Blue
Today is WORLD ARTHRITIS day. Please wear blue. I know I never heard of this before either, but my good friend Heather, diagnosed at age 17, blogged about it this morning. I am a huge fan of hers, she is an amazing woman.
Heather has a daughter and two sons, home schools, shuttles her kids to games and practices and has a very active life. The cost to her body has been high, but her response is always strong and she is a fighter. Heather is blessed with fabulous parents who have supported her all along the way. Her hubby is a great guy, cute too. And she has 'story book' children.
Please honor my friend by wearing blue today, and keep her and her family in your prayers.
Heather has a very interesting story and a great blog..http://onechinesebrother.blogspot.com/

Role Reversal
Well, it's the end of January today and that means we all have 2 months to wrap up our training for this FUN event! It's still plenty o' time, but you have to be dedicated and determined! I hope you're all still preparing and, more importantly, mentally preparing - this means you cannot be telling yourselves that you can't do it, etc. It is SO important to get mental toughness as well as building your physical endurance.
You chicks can do this - I know you can - and I'm REALLY looking forward to having you out there. This will be a really tough training weekend for me, and I'll be motivated and encouraged to keep on truckin', because you'll all be out there too!
Alright, enough of my rah-rah speech. I know we're all very busy, but try to keep in touch with each other to encourage and motivate. Train, train, train!
Woohoo - St. Louis or Bust!
Talk about a role reversal - my how the tables have turned, eh? Each of you had the opportunity to challenge and inspire me while I was growing up - now it's my turn to help move you toward this goal. How many years did it take for me to make the cheerleading squad? Yes, my friends, persistance and determination are key!!!
