Jan and Dorcas, the two in the center of the picture, each won a prize. Remember the two day shop hop a couple of weeks ago? Well our girls won. One got a basket of goodies, (sewing goodies) and the other a gift certificate. Yeah, over 300 miles of traveling and shopping. Well worth it.

We found the lighthouses in Portland, Bar Harbor, and the Maritimes to be breathtaking. I think we could have visited each one of them -- of course this might have taken about three weeks...

Donna, I don't know if you remember Chrissie that I blogged about. She was a very sick little girl who was adopted from Serbia by a family who knew she had little chance of survival. She passed away awhile ago. I happened to look on her blog again tonight and saw a post about a quilt that another "hospital mom" made in memory of Chrissie. The quilt is really beautiful, heartfelt, and intricate. I thought you would enjoy looking at it. I can't imagine how much work went into that quilt.
